The Environmental Studies Program at Hamilton College invites applications for a one-year leave-replacement position focused on environmental justice at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor, beginning July 1, 2026. We seek candidates to teach an intermediate-level course on environmental justice, an introductory course in environmental studies, and an additional course in their area of expertise. Areas of expertise could include (but are not limited to): global environmental politics, political ecology, environmental political theory, critical environmental justice, environmental social movements, participatory action research, climate change and racial justice, decolonizing environmental studies, and/or indigenous environmental justice.
